Good Afternoon!
I am Chaz and currently I am a second grade teacher living in the Nashville , TN area. I have taught for 10 years in an urban public school district. My goal is to enroll in a PH.D. program with a focus on Multicultural Education and Africana Studies - Interdisciplinary Studies. At this very moment I am applying for graduate programs. My reason for taking this course is two fold. First, I would like to gain more understanding about the Critical Race Theory Framework and how it can be better utilized in educational research. Another reason, I enjoy Prof Keene blog and writings and wanted to take a class taught by her to stimulate my own intellectual growth and my research agenda.
I just recently enrolled in the course last week. Also completed my reading assignments for week 1, 2 , and 3. In closing, I am very excited this an Open access course.
